about us

The Rochester Indoor Skatepark Club was formed in January 2008 when we took over Unit 1 Skatepark, Laker Road, Rochester, Kent.

We are a registered charity and obtained funding initially from Medway’s Youth Opportunity Fund to help with the deposit and to take over the lease on the building.

..

Funding was also obtained from Sports Relief, Kent Community Foundation, Local Network Fund and Kent County Council Awards For All.

.

Unit1 skatepark is a non-profit making organisation that was formed to provide a safe, supervised environment where young people of all ages and abilities can learn new skills in skateboarding, BMX inline skating and scooters.
